Ice Flyers and Cox Communications Announce Partnership to Air on Yurview
Pensacola, FL. – The Pensacola Ice Flyers and Cox Communications have partnered to bring Ice Flyers hockey to Yurview for the remainder of their 2022-23 Season.
The new partnership will allow Cox customers the opportunity to watch each of the remaining 25 home games from the comfort of their living rooms.
“It’s an exciting step for our organization,” explained Ice Flyers Director of Marketing Brenden Arney. “Being able to showcase all the excitement and fun that comes with being at an Ice Flyers game to a larger audience is what it’s all about, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Cox and build a great partnership.”
Since 2009, the Ice Flyers have solidified themselves as one of the premier teams in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). They continually rank in the top three in attendance in the league and are tied for the most championships in league history (4).
“Professional hockey has a long history in Pensacola and our community is proud to support the Ice Flyers,” said David Deliman, Cox Gulf Coast market vice president. “We’re thrilled to be able to partner with the team and bring hockey to our customers’ screens so they can continue to follow the team.”
The Ice Flyers play 56 regular season games with 28 home games at the Pensacola Bay Center, or if you’re an Ice Flyers fan “The Hangar”.
The first broadcast will air this Friday, November 11 for the Ice Flyers’ Veterans Appreciation Night. Followed by Small Dog Race Night on Saturday, November 12.
25 home games on YurView Florida (Cox channel 2 – Pensacola, channel 6 – Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa County, and channel 15 – Gainesville/Ocala).
